I have watched in admiration as Hyde Park Corner was transformed from a desolate to an agreeable place, all thanks to Kim Wilkie, whose book Led by the Land, published by Francis Lincoln, demonstrates his talent.
It is heartening that he was asked to participate in planning the gardens of the Chelsea Barracks - his intentions are in the book - Qataris and the economy permitting, this site might yet prove to be a boost to London, SW1.
